Competition lighting
Playing area
The regulation playing surface measures 16 x 8 m, marked out with high-visibility flexible lines 5 cm wide. The court is surrounded by a free safety zone.
Net height
Adjustable.
Sports sand
The playing surface consists of a layer of selected, screened sand with a minimum depth of 40 cm, designed specifically for sports use. The grain size is calibrated to strike the right balance between comfort and performance: the sand is neither too fine and light, avoiding dust and dispersion during play, nor too coarse or compact, ensuring a soft, comfortable surface for bare feet. The sand is free of stones, sharp elements and potentially hazardous particles.
Sand heating system
The court is equipped with an integrated sand-bed heating system, designed to counter the rapid cooling of the surface during the winter months and in the presence of strong temperature swings. Even heat distribution keeps the sand at a more comfortable and consistent temperature, improving the playing experience and extending the use of the facility throughout the year.
Lighting
Professional LED lighting system installed on support structures with a curved profile, designed to direct the light towards the playing area while limiting glare, shadow areas and interference for athletes. For configurations intended for international night-time competitions, the system can be sized to provide an illuminance of the playing surface between 1,000 and 1,500 lux, measured 1 m above the playing surface, in accordance with FIVB requirements.

How it's designed

Every court adapts to the site. The variables to assess together:

  • The available space and layout
  • Drainage of the area
  • Exposure and orientation
  • Lighting for evening play
